The Moontower draws inspiration from a true Austin icon. The city’s historic moontowers have stood watch over neighborhoods for generations, casting their unmistakable glow across warm nights and winding streets. That quiet presence, that sense of place — it’s all captured here. With its deep twilight tones, signature dial pattern, custom caseback, and limited production, the Moontower Edition is both a nod to the city we call home and a chance to carry a piece of its spirit wherever you go.

The Moontower Edition leans into the night. Its deep midnight blue dial sets a moody tone, with a chamfered woven texture around the edge that catches light like moonlight flickering through trees. Soft yellow markers and muted blue numerals reflect the glow of Austin’s historic moontowers. The layering of textures and color shifts brings depth and quiet energy to the dial, creating a look that changes with every movement.

The Movement

The Crossroads is powered by the celebrated Miyota 9039 movement. Powered by the motion of your wrist, this movement can also be ‘charged’ by winding the crown. The movement features hacking seconds, 48 hour power reserve, and a lovely 28,800 beats per hour, which gives the seconds hand its smooth operation. It also features a custom rotor. Each movement is regulated in-house to within +/- 10 seconds per day.

The Moontower Edition comes fitted with a supple, limited-edition Italian leather strap in a deep slate blue that captures the cool tones of Austin after dark. It tapers from 20mm to 16mm for all-day comfort and includes quick-release spring bars for easy changes. On the underside, a custom illustration adds a bit of fun—a soft, abstract pattern representing moonlight flowing across the band. It’s subtle, a little dreamy, and the perfect finishing touch to a watch inspired by the magic of nights in Austin.

It ensures excellent legibility after dark, but more than that, it brings a playful, radiant energy to the dial that feels right at home under the Austin moonlight.

The Crossroads Bracelet

These stunning, custom-made bracelets are specifically designed for the Crossroads watch, giving it an entirely new feel. Made from 316L surgical grade steel with the same scratch-resistant hardening coating as the Crossroads, the bracelet features a secure deployant clasp, three micro-adjustment holes, and a convenient half-link popout for added comfort. Screw-in links make resizing easy, and it even comes with the necessary tools. Simply add the bracelet during checkout for a complete upgrade.

Built to celebrate the moments that define you, here are the key specs that define Crossroads quality and functionality.

Materials
The Crossroads case is made with 316L stainless steel that has been treated with a hardening coating to keep it free from scratches for years to come. This also helps tremendously with fingerprints on the polished surfaces. The front crystal is a curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The exhibition caseback also uses sapphire crystal. Both the hands and the hour markers on the dial (the numerals and the dashes) use Swiss Super LumiNova lume. The straps are made with Italian leather.
The Movement
The Crossroads watch uses the Miyota 9039 automatic movement, featuring a custom red rotor. The movement has a 48 hour power reserve and is regulated in house to within +/- 10 seconds per day.
Dimensions and Water Resistance
The numerical size of square watches is always a little hard to define because they naturally wear a little differently than round watches. The Crossroads case is 36x38mm, with a lug to lug length of 46mm and a lug width of 20mm. This is fairly comparable to wearing a 40mm round watch. The height is 11mm at its tallest point. The Crossroads has a water resistance of 5 ATM.
Warranty
Every Trafford watch includes a 2-year limited warranty. This will cover any manufacturing defects like issues with the movement, or the hands fall off, etc. It doesn’t cover cosmetic wear or internal damage caused by droppage or other accidents. We’re pretty relaxed about this stuff though, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
